Behind-the-scenes of my first Magazine Cover

Today I am taking you behind the scenes of what was my first ever cover magazine. I got approached by Owen who is the owner and photographer of Revamp Magazine back in April to do a cover story about my role as Mala in the Little Mermaid.

"ReVamp Magazine is an online magazine that features interviews, stories and photoshoots with talents and creatives across the world. ReVamp is all about creative people who want to be heard and seen by sharing their story and showing their talent."

It was the first time I got to do a shooting where I was not only shooting amazing looks but got to chat about my experience and have a creative input in the whole process. I want to thank the whole team again for making it such a special experience ahead of the release of the movie.

The shooting took place in a studio in Brixton, the whole team met there and off we were to create some magic.

Owen wanted to stay within the theme of Mermaids (and I was not mad about it at all, loveeeed it and really wanted to get to play around with it while I could haha). The inspirations were the ocean, the sea, reflections, waves, and anything that could help make the atmosphere etheral. For the makeup and hair Maya did an incredible job at coming up with 5 different looks. And the stylism by Charlotte Harney was sensational, layering some amazing fabrics and marrying accessories that elevated each and every single look. I really felt looked after and got the feeling that every one had amazing freedom to express their creativity. My best friend Maryne came to assist and help with taking BTS shots and videos, here are some of them :).

The whole shoot took about 4 hours, all in a very relaxed and smooth atmosphere. I think we all enjoyed being there and experimenting with everyone's creative input.

After the shoot was done Owen organised an interview with Ali which had amazing questions about my experience filming The Little Mermaid and I was so grateful to be able to talk about it a bit more in details.
